Changing Seasons
Â
Well Easter is over – The Classic Fighters Airshow successfully finished, local harvesting all but complete, the leaves on trees and vines alike are turning rustic, reds and browns. Temperatures are dropping – must mean that the busy season is over. Time to reflect, take a break or just sit back and wait for more guests that are hopefully still travelling around to call in. Its hard to believe that we are already into May and in just 4 short months we in New Zealand, will be hosting the Rugby World Cup. Here at Olde Mill House we  already have bookings for September so if you are hoping to come to the World Cup and want to stay in Renwick, Marlborough dont leave it too long to make your bookings or you may be disappointed. We hope not, so go on,  make the commitment – book now.
Guests Engagement
On December 27 th, guests Laurence Bracewell and Anna Kurtschenko arrived for their two night stay. After the initial settling in they decided to take our cycles and do a tour of some of the local wineries.    They were away for several hours and when they came back Anna proudly announced that Laurence had proposed to her and that they were now engaged.
Grandson’s Visit
Hi, I know its been a while but we have been very busy. Back in January it was Roberts Birthday and our eldest daughter decided to come home for a surprise visit and bring her youngest son Toby. Well, even if I do say so myself, I did a pretty good job of keeping the secret. On the 25th I told Robert that I had to go the shops so off I went, but to the airport. I picked up Amanda and Toby and came home. I sent Amanda up to the house first and as hoped, Robert was blown away – he said “what are you doing here”!   They stayed for four nights and we had a lovely time catching up and spending some wonderful time with Toby and Amanda had a well deserved break away from the rest of her family. Quite a successful few days. The only thing is that it seems like months ago and its only just over 3 weeks ago.
